Knew Knowledge

Well, this technologically-challenged blogger just had to take a course for work about RSS feeds, wikis, blogs, podcasts, etc. I completely geeked out these past couple of days. So now I have all this new knowledge which I can apply not only in a work-based fashion, but also here on VB. I know you already knew much of what I learned today, but now I feel so excited about my new powers!

You know what they say about knowledge. And power.

Stay tuned.

P.S. Has anyone else used Bloglines? I can't believe I had never heard of this before! I am joining ASAP. It is genius! Now I can take my favorites everywhere I go....

I use Newsgator and I am never without my favourites, plus I have categorised everything too. I am in the process of planning a podcast!

jennster-- it's an RSS reader site. basically, it is a free acct you can set up where all the updates for your favorite sites (news, sports, blogs, etc.) come to your acct. that way you don't waste time checking each site individually. the updates come to you. there are lots of different RSS readers. bloglines is one of them.

NML--hmmm...newsgator. i'll have to check that one out. i am excited about the podcast!!! now i can see if your voice is how i imagine it! i'd like to do one, too, one day.

I use Bloglines and love it! I love that they give you infinite e-mail address. Now if I want to sign up for a newsletter that doesn't have an RSS feed, I give it a bloglines e-mail address. Also, my BlogRoll is powered by Bloglines. LOVE IT!
